Boardwalk Nights at Cedar Point
Synchronized Kite Performance at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio
Cedar Point, 2026: Our Third Summer on Lake Erie
This summer marked our third season performing at Cedar Point, and it was the first time our team flew with in-house developed Kiteman-developed LED lighting built into their kites.
Brett Marchel, Crystal Wilder, Linzy Abbott, and Drayton Callison flew synchronized team routines on the beach along Lake Erie. Once the sun went down, the LEDs took over, turning the same choreography park guests had watched in daylight into moving lines of light against the night sky.
Built In-House
The show kites are dye-sublimated and were built by Jon Trennepohl, Hunter Brown, and Brett Marchel. The lighting was developed by our team specifically for these kites, so the night shows ran on the same airframes the crew already knew.
Birds on Poles
We also designed and manufactured the bird kites on poles that flew in the opening “Cavalcade” parade and again during the finale, putting kites right into the crowd instead of only overhead.
The Beach Scene
We shared the Lake Erie boardwalk with live bands, stunt performers, high divers, derby dog competitions, brigades, and swing dance parties. It’s a busy summer lineup, and we’re glad to have been part of it for a third year.
